Everything has been quite incredible in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, thus far. A bunch of upsets took place in the first round followed by a few more in the second round. It was good to see some perennial powerhouses be eliminated early on.

My favorite first round game of the tournament was a toss up between the Belmont vs. Duke game and the Western Kentucky vs. Drake. Both games went down to the final minutes and left me stunned at the outcomes.

#15 Belmont left everything on the court and just narrowly lost to #2 Duke. Belmont played good enough to win with their back door cuts and sharpshooting behind the arc. In the end, Duke just managed to come up with the big plays, when they needed them. All in all, it was a game that couldn't have been depicted by a talented writer for a renowned newspaper or magazine subscriptions, because it was pure excitement.

#12 Western Kentucky vs. #5 Drake was a great game that saw overtime action. Western Kentucky led nearly the entire game, but Drake battled back and tied it up, before the final buzzer. Western Kentucky stalled in the late minutes of the second half, which opened the door for Drake; however they were able to clinch the victory in the final seconds of overtime with a clutch 3 point shot to win the game.

It's been a great tournament so far and I'm looking forward to the next round, which starts tonight..
